It is common among public figures around the world
to employ bodyguards due to their status and the
desire of some of their overzealous fans attempting
to get to them, possibly for an attack or out of
admiration.
A good example was an attack on Brad Pitt by a man
at a movie premiere in the US.
However, Nigerian superstar actress, Omotola
Jalade-Ekeinde is not bothered about this and is also
not planning to get someone to be her bodyguard, at
least not anytime soon like Tiwa Savage, who recently
reported to have employed a bodyguard.
Though she knows the danger of going about alone
and how crazy some overzealous fans may be, but
going by latest revelation, she can’t just go around
with bodyguards.
She admitted that fame has restricted her from doing
many things she would have done herself, but noting
that she is now used to such life.
“Fame has denied me a lot. I can’t stop on the way
and buy anything I want. I’m like, ‘hey, give it to me’
and they will rush over, give it to me and I will zoom
off,” she said recently in an interview.
“Every celebrity has this challenge,” she noted,
pointing out that, “It depends on who you are and
how you want to handle it.”
“I would like to go to the market and buy whatever I
want, but I cannot,” Omosexy, as the sexy mother of
four is fondly called, confessed, declaring that, “And I
can’t go around with bodyguards.”
